A young man was injured in a police shooting while trying to torch a bus in the capital city’s Uttar Badda on Sunday night.
Md Babu, 25, was about to set fire to a bus around 11:30pm.
Assistant sub-inspector of Badda Police Station Ananta Roy said a mob chased Babu when he was attempting to set a bus ablaze.
“Police also chased him but he tried to escape. Police then shot him in his left leg,” he said.
Babu was later admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he added.
