Japanese coastguards rescue 2 Bangladeshi sailors

jappJapanese coastguards today rescued 10 crew members including two Bangladeshi nationals after a Cambodian-registered cargo ship sank off northern Japan.
Of them, three crew members– two Chinese and one Myanmarese — died after they were taken to hospital, reported AFP news agency.
They were plucked from chilly waters in the strait separating Japan’s main Honshu and northernmost Hokkaido islands.
The 10 crewmen abandoned the ship just before it sank. The seven crew members including the Bangladeshis are in a stable condition.
The captain of the ship was mentioned as Bangladeshi. However, their identities could not be known immediately.
Contacted, Mohammed Nore-Alam, counsellor at Bangladesh embassy in Tokyo, said they did not receive any information about the incident yet.
