On the occasion of birth anniversary of late Maulana Bhashani, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said that Maulana Bhashani’s role in their society and politics would inspire them to build Bangladesh a self-reliance one.
The BNP Chief came up with the comment in a statement, sent to the media on Thursday evening.
Terming Maulana Bhashani was always on behalf of deprived people, the BNP boss said, “He, in his life time was in leadership to take back the rights of oppressed people in the country.”
She also praised the role of the noted politician saying, “Bhashani played a great role against all autocratic rulers of British empire and after liberation war of our country.”
Khaleda continued in her statement pointing to the ruling Awami League led regime that in the current situation in the country, Bangladesh’s democracy had gone to the dogs.
