Mymensingh: Miscreants snatched away a man, accused of 47 cases including murder, from police convoy after attacking the law enforcers in Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district.
The incident happened on Wednesday noon when police were escorting Abdullah, the accused of 47 cases, to the Muktagachha Police Station after detaining in a drive at Chanpur village.
Associates of Abudllah then attacked the police convoy and hacked two police personnel Shahinoor and Rezaul Karim, assistant sub-inspectors of Muktagacha Police Station.
The injured policemen were admitted to Mymenshingh Medical College and Hospital. Among them, condition of Shahinoor is critical.
Confirming the incident, Muktagacha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain said that police were conducting drive to nab the culprits. – risingbd
