Heavy fog has disrupted ferry operations on the Padma River for more than ten hours.
Ferry operations at the Mawa- Kawrakandi crossing was halted for almost 11 hours starting from Monday 11pm, while the crossing at the Paturia-Doulatdia route was suspended for nine hours.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Mawa landing point’s Assistant Manager Shekhar Chandra Roy said ferry crossings were stopped around 11pm on Monday due to low-visibility caused by dense fog.
